My name is Allyson Kelley, and I will be your author. I received my BFA at Ringling College of Art and Design in illustration and currently am a freelance illustrator and a graphic designer/production artist at a local sign shop. As an illustrator, I combine both traditional watercolors and digital techniques to create whimsical images that tell a compelling story.
The background image is a map of Loudoun County Virginia, parts of Fairfax County Virginia, Jefferson County West Virginia, Washington County Maryland and Frederick County Maryland. It dates to the 1860's. It can be found at the Library of Congress Geography and Map Division Washington, D.C. 20540-4650 dcu, and found here on the website.
